The 2016 Lincoln MKT is actually a thing. And yes it has Sync 3. So the turbowagon lives on and actually has something meaningful added to it.

Yay! As weird as it is, I’m in the process of trading in the 2014 MKT I bought my mom for a 2016. Not because of sync 3, mylincolntouch works just fine, but because the dealer (for reasons beyond my comprehension) has a 2016 bronze fire mkt elite with the same options as my mother’s white 2014. That coupled with my sister’s new marriage and need for an automobile (MKX) lead to upgrading the 2014 to a 2016 for a mere 4k which isn’t bad considering I get a better color for a car I hope my mother will keep for a decade and 4k isn’t even how much depreciation the 2014 would have accrued by now.

Really makes you wonder how much dealers are getting these things for eh?

Dumb name but possibly the best of the recent lincolns. Gets zero love despite being a fast, turbo, wagon that carries 7 plus stuff.

Yes she loves it! (thanks for the compliment btw) Still raves about it and I think she secretly loves that it’s a rare car on the road (unless you live in a big city of course).

As for the ELR, i LOVED it but my building wanted too much money a month for a charger spot (almost a grand) so I ended up selling the thing for roughly the same money I spent on it. I had to choose between keeping my elr or rs6 and the old audi still wins to this day (even if I’m about to sell it on for something radically different)

I think the Flex and MKT are great, but they are far too big for my needs so I’ll probably never own one. Still, if I had the budget and the space a nice 3.5 Ecoboost model would be an extremely practical vehicle to have around.

I had to look it up - the only Lincoln I can really name is the Continental since there’s been a lot of talk about that recently. Oh, and the MKZ, but I can’t remember if that was a sedan or crossover.

The MKT looks really big. I like the tagline on their website: “Politely Progressive.”

Doesn’t photograph well in my opinion, but it’s the same height as the flex and in a world where we’re really excited about the new Q7 being more wagon-y, it’s really not that big.

Fair enough. I’m still not sure on that Lincoln grille but I’m sure it’s a nice vehicle. Q7s don’t do anything for me, unless it’s that bonkers V12 TDI and that’s because of the engine. You say it’s the height of the Ford Flex, is it similar in size, too? That at least gives me some sort of reference.

I’m a small car guy, anyway. To me, the Mazda 6 is a big car, and even the 3 is still more car than I need.

well yeah it’s more a family car not an individual car.

but it’s got a 365 tt v6 that is just a simple flash away from 500hp and that’s music to my ears :)
